JAMESTOWN – Residents wanting to learn more details about the proposed Jamestown School budget for 2015-16 school year will want to attend a public hearing tonight.
Jamestown School officials will hold a Public Hearing regarding the proposed $77.6M budget – which cuts 16 positions and includes a 1.5 percent tax increase – at 7 p.m. in the Persell Middle School auditorium.
The Budget Vote & School Board Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from noon to 9 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School and Washington Middle School for registered voters. Voters will also elect two Board of Education members to serve three-year terms. There are two candidates on the ballot – Nina Karbacka and Daniel Johnson.
