MAYVILLE – The murder trial of Anthony Robert Taglianetti has been adjourned until next Wednesday in Chautauqua County Court.
On Thursday, District Attorney David Foley called his final witnesses to the stand. Among the testimony given was information from a forensic examiner who stated that traces of Keith Reed’s blood was found on a revolver belonging to Anthony Taglianetti. Another forensic expert confirmed that the revolver also had traces of Taglianetti’s DNA on it.
The DA also called a gun expert to the stand, who said that a bullet found during the autopsy of Reed appeared to have come from Taglianetti’s revolver. However, during Cross Examination, he admitted that it could not be definitely fired from the gun and could have also been fired from any number of other types of guns.
Taglianetti is accused of shooting and killing Reed at his home in Clymer on Sept. 21, 2012 and faces a count of 2nd degree murder.
The prosecution rested its case on Thursday and the trial will not reconvene until next Wednesday, Nov. 6.
