JAMESTOWN – The James Prendergast Library is about to extend its hours. According to Director Linda Mielke, this will result in an additional 10 hours of public service per week. Beginning Monday, April 2, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
“Our new schedule will offer consistency and convenience to our public,” said Mielke.
Later this year, after automated sign-in for public computer use is installed, the library also plans to be open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Current hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
