JAMESTOWN – Prendergast Library will celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day Saturday , Feb. 7 with an author visit, technology demonstrations, and a variety of drop-in family activities.
Jamestown native Deborah Bolling will conduct a poetry writing session from 1 to 2 p.m. and sign copies of her book “Wonders” from 2 to 3 p.m.
Jesse Pardue, Learning Lab technician at Prendergast Library, will lead a hands-on demonstration of children’s tablets from noon to 1 p.m. Pardue will also offer 3-D Printing Just for Kids from 3 to 4 p.m.
Throughout the day there will be family friendly activities such as snowman bowling, building a snowflake out of puzzle pieces, participating in a library scavenger hunt with prizes, and impromptu readings of a book called “The Snowflake: A Water Cycle” by Neil Waldman.
The library is located at 509 Cherry St., Jamestown. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call 484-7135.
