Police Wait to Speak with Victim as Investigation Continues into Bullfrog Shooting Incident

December 3, 2019 By WRFA Radio 4 Comments

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting incident at the Bullfrog Hotel Bar and Grill this past weekend that resulted in one person being sent to the hospital.

So far no charges have been filed in the incident that occurred early Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. at the east side establishment next to the city line with Falconer.  According to initial reports, the incident occurred after an altercation took place between two people in a hallway leading into the bar. The victim was struck twice by gunfire and taken to UPMC Chautauqua and later transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie where he is now in stable condition.

Police haven’t released many details regarding the person who did the shooting, although they reportedly know the person’s identity and that person is cooperating with the investigation.  Because no charges have been filed in the incident police are withholding the names of those who are involved.

On Tuesday afternoon WRFA reached out the city police for an update and Chief Harry Snellings said via email, “There are no new updates. We still need to interview the shooting victim.”

Jamestown police are also seeking potential witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 483-7537, the anonymous tip line at 483-8477 (TIPS), or via the Tips 411 cellphone app.

What absolute BS is this. Do they wait for the interview with a homicide victim to charge the suspected shooter? Hell no! Incist more from your government! Hold them accountable!

I agree! Jamestown Police are so corrupt! They pick and choose what and who they want to arrest!

No charges filed? There is enough evidence that the shooter should be charged with assault at the very least with more charges to follow. So if it’s ok to shoot someone and claim self defense then anyone is allowed to shoot the shooter in this case and walk? It was proven he had a gun. I’m sure the police took it but no one knows that he didn’t get another one. This person is considered armed and dangerous and a threat to his community so I’m thinking everyone has a right to fire at him. And everyone knows his name. His initials K.O.
