JAMESTOWN – Local police are looking for a man involved in a pair of robberies at two area churches. According to the Jamestown Police Department, an unknown man entered the Greek Orthodox Church in Jamestown at 11:10 a.m. Sunday and took a wallet from a parishioner’s purse. That same man is also believed to be involved in an earlier theft Sunday at the Bethel Lutheran Church on West Third Street in Jamestown. Police say a man entered the church during services and removed a laptop computer and a digital camera.
City police have released a photo from a surveillance video showing the male subject. Anyone who may know the subject is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Dept.’s anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS (8477) or 483-7537.
