JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are investigating an incident that took place Sunday night involving a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle near the Washington Street Bridge.
According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, the incident took place near the south end of the bridge around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when an SUV struck a person trying to cross the roadway.
The injured pedestrian was taken to UPMC Chautauqua and the crash remains under investigation. The bridge was closed for a short time while police and emergency crews responded to the scene.
