JAMESTOWN, NY – Officials with the Jamestown Public School district on Tuesday were made aware of a social media posting involving a threat to Lincoln Elementary School. As a result of the threat, the Jamestown Police Department was called in to investigate. Jamestown police investigated the threat and concluded that it was directed to another Lincoln School elsewhere in the country and the out-of-state jurisdictions are actively investigating the matter.
“We want to ensure parents, families and the community that there has not been a threat made to Lincoln Elementary School or any Jamestown Public School,” said Jamestown superintendent Tim Mains. “Both the Jamestown Public Schools and the Jamestown Police Department continue to maintain the safety of all our students.”
