DUNKIRK – The Democratic challenger in the 2016 general election is holding an event this afternoon in Dunkirk, where he plans to unveil his strategy for helping to create more jobs.
U.S. Navy Reserve Commander John Plumb (D-Lakewood), will appear at the United Steelworkers Local 2693 this afternoon at 3 p.m. Plumb’s campaign says he’ll be rolling out his plan to protect the jobs we still have and create new ones throughout the entire region.
Plumb is challenging Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) for New York’s 23rd Congressional District in the 2016 general election. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1988 and during the past two decades he’s served as a submarine officer in the Navy and later as an official at the Department of Defense.
