DUNKIRK – A woman from Pennsylvania is facing numerous charges after leading police on a high speed chase through the northwestern portion of the county.
According to Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies, the chase began on Route 5 near the state line and didn’t end until it reached the town of Dunkirk in northern Chautauqua Count
Police say the chase started in the town of Northeast, Pa. when 43-year-old Christina Trump failed to stop her vehicle for Pennsylvania State Police. The high speed pursuit continued on Route 5 and into Chautauqua County, were sheriff deputies were able to use spike strips to disable the vehicle. Trump allegedly continued to drive for several more miles before the pursuit finally ended, only after the vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole in the town of Dunkirk.
Trump was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital with apparently minor injuries. She faces numerous charges in both Pennsylvania and New York, including Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
