PANAMA – The investigation continues into the death of a Panama man who died while riding his ATV over the Labor Day weekend.
According to New York State Police, 32 year-old Brent Aldrich was killed after he was thrown from his ATV. Police say he was apparently traveling south on Eddy Road when he reportedly struck a guide rai on the east side of a bridge crossing over a small creek.
Aldrich was ejected over the guide rail into water below.
An area resident spotted the ATV in the road at about 2 a.m. Sunday and called 911.
A search of the area found Aldrich in 18 inches of water in the creek near the bridge.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of the death.
