FALCONER – Officials in Falconer have announced the new date for their open house that will give residents an opportunity to learn more about and offer input into a new Comprehensive Economic Development Plan for the village.
Village officals will join representatives from Ingall’s Planning & Design to host the open house, scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the Falconer Fire Department on Davis Street.
In case of inclement weather the event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10 at the same time and location.
The open-house format will allow the community to stop in at their convenience anytime during the two hours to learn about the planning process, identify what they feel are the village’s issues, opportunities and assets are and to share their vision for the future of their community.
In March 2017 an arson fire destroyed a major piece of downtown property on W. Main St. and less than a year later in January 2018 another fire broke out on the same block at the Falconer Vac Shop, destroying that building as well.
The open house was initially scheduled in early December but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.
