JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department asking for the public’s help in providing information related to a shooting incident that took place early Saturday morning on the city’s south side.
Jamestown police were called to the area of Charles St. at Newland Ave. at 3:35 a.m. Saturday on reports of multiple shots being fired. Officers arrived to discover a 22 year old male had been shot multiple times in the leg. The victim was transported to UPMC Chautauqua and then later sent to UPMC Hamot for treatment of injuries.
Police say the victim is no cooperating with the investigation and investigators are asking anyone who may have information to contact them at 483-7537 or the anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS (8477), or via the Tips 411 App. Police say all calls and tips are kept confidential.
