JAMESTOWN – City police are continuing their investigation into the illegal sale of heroin in the area with the latest arrest taking place late last week on Willard St.
According to police, officers obtained a search warrant after an investigation into illegal drug activity at a home at 113 Willard Street. During the search, officers also searched two separate vehicles on Barrows Street and two storage units in the town of Ellicott.
As a result of the investigation, investigators did locate and seize more than 29 grams of uncut heroin, packaging material, scales, and other paraphernalia. The total street value was about $7,200.
Arrested was 20 year-old Carmen Lopez. She was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia.
This investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected. Anyone who may have information on the illegal sales or trafficking of narcotics within the city of Jamestown area is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Departments anonymous tip line at 483-8477 (TIPS).
