BUSTI – A Dayton Ohio man who was a fugitive from justice is now in police custody following an incident that played out Sunday afternoon in the town of Busti.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies say 45-year-old Jason Wasson was wanted on a felony warrant from the town of Portland. They were notified that he was in the area after a resident on Orr St. ext. reported him as an unwelcome person in their home.
Wasson reportedly fled into the woods just prior to police arrival. Sheriff’s Deputies and Lakewood-Busti Police tracked the him for 2 miles before he was located. Wasson was then transported to UPMC for treatment due to exposure from the weather and later transported to the County Jail where he was to be arraigned on a charge of 2nd degree burglary.
