JAMESTOWN – Local law enforcement have made yet another arrest related to the trafficking of heroin in the area.
On Thursday afternoon, Jamestown Police Department arrested 54 year old Edgardo Hernandez of Jonestown, Ohio, he reportedly staying at a home at 15 Bassett St. and allegedly selling heroin out of the residence.
Following an investigation, authorities were able to obtain a search warrant and raided the home on Thursday, finding more than $1500 worth of heroin inside the home and in Hernandez’s vehicle.
Hernandez was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and will appear in city court at a later date.
A second man, Ismail Lopez-Vargas, was inside the residence and taken into custody on an unrelated bench warrant for failing to appear in Jamestown City Court.
