ALBANY – President Barack Obama was in Albany yesterday giving praise to New York State for its economic turnaround. In his third trip to the Capital Region, the President toured the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering Nanotech Complex at the University of Albany, before delivering a campaign speech to a packed auditorium.
In his speech, Obama laid out a “to do” list for the nation consisting of five main items; mortgage refinancing assistance for homeowners, tax breaks for clean energy initiatives like solar panels and wind power, tax credits for small businesses, help for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and a reformed tax code to encourage manufacturers to stay local as opposed to outsourcing.
