JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation will hold a special press conference Thursday afternoon regarding the status of the North Main Street Corridor Improvement Plan.
- REVIEW PROJECT RFP
According to JRC officials, North Main Street is one of the city’s key traffic gateways. Thousands of visitors and residents travel on the street daily, but the road infrastructure is old and in need of repair. In addition, some upgrades are also necessary to improve overall appearance and aesthetics of the corridor.
After a lengthy proposal review process, the JRC has selected a corridor improvement plan submitted by Clark Patterson Lee Design Professionals of Jamestown. Officials say the plan will rejuvenate the street and help bring the Jamestown community closer together.
Key details of the North Main Street Corridor Improvement Plan will be announced at the press conference.
The cost for the plan was made possible with funding from Northwest Savings Bank, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Sheldon Foundation, and Chautauqua County Housing Trust Fund.
