Chautauqua County Sheriffs Deputies say no one was injured in a four-car accident that took place Wednesday morning in the Eastbound lane of I-86 along the Chautauqua County Veterans Memorial Bridge over Chautauqua Lake.
Deputies say Mary Rappole of Chautauqua was traveling Eastbound and had to slow down because of the morning sun. slowed down because of the morning sun. Police say a second motorist, Jeffrey Kimbel of Westfield was as also East bound and did not see Rappole in time and ran into the rear of her vehicle.
A third eastbound vehicle, driven by Tyler Gleason of Mayville, slowed down because of the accident and poor visibility. Gleason was then struck by a car driven by Kennadee Woods of Ashvelle. was also East bound and because of poor visibility ran into the rear of Gleason’s vehicle.
There were no injuries and the scene was cleared up after a short time.
