WASHINGTON – Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) has received recognition from a non-partisan organization dedicated to developing a new era of focused problem solving in American politics.
The No Labels group recently awarded Reed with its ‘Problem Solver Seal of Approval’.
The ‘Problem Solver Seal of Approval’ is awarded to members of Congress that have displayed their commitment to working with both parties to solve today’s problems.
The organizations ‘Strategic Agenda’ features four goals; create 25 million jobs over 10 years, secure Social Security and Medicare for 75 years, balance the federal budget by 2030, and make America energy independent by 2024.
Reed is one of over 70 members of Congress who sits on the No Labels’ “problem-solver” caucus, with caucus members having signed a congressional resolution calling for the creation of a National Strategic Agenda and having co-sponsored 18 different pieces of bipartisan legislation, including two – No Budget, No Pay and Healthcare for Heroes – signed into law.
