BEMUS POINT – The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting that the Ye Hare n Hounds Inn restaurant in Bemus Point has new owners.
Jamestown natives Chris Olsen and Robert Cusimano will purchase the historic restaurant, located at 64 Lakeside Dr. in the village.
It had been closed down since May 24 after a fire broke out, damaging much of the interior.
The restaurant first opened in 1915.
Richard Graham says
I have owned a cottage nearby since 1990 and always looked forward to dinner several times a year at Ye Hare n Hounds. For years Jennifer offered a $50 certificate at the restaurant which I paired up with a night stay at the Hotel Lenhart that Bebe offered, which I used for a silent auction item at the Kenmore Rotary’s annual Wine Tasting Event, our major fund raiser.
I am so glad to see you have bought it with plans to reopen some time in 2018 and look forward to dinner, especially the Rack of Lamb that I hope will be on the menu again.
Given the time, the efforts and costs of getting it ready for reopening I would not even consider the possibility of seeking your support this year, but hope you may consider it in 2019.
Good luck with the renovation.
