JAMESTOWN – Chautauqua County officials will be in Jamestown Wednesday morning for the opening of the new DMV office at 512 West Third St. the county is relocating its Jamestown office from its long-time location on Pine Street to the new location to accommodate a need for more space for social services.
The DMV’s new location provides approximately 3,085 square-feet of office space. The cost for the DMV would decrease for the duration of the lease over the current rental paid at the South County building. Rent at the new location is $12 per-square-foot for the first year with a 4 percent increase every year after.
A ribbon cutting event is scheduled to take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the new location.
The new location is welcome for many who need to get in quick. The parking area is ample and convenient. Great move!
