JAMESTOWN – M&T Bank locations in Jamestown, Falconer, Lakewood, Mayville, and Bemus Point will be collecting personal care and hygiene items in the month of March for The Salvation Army in Jamestown.
The effort is part of United Way of Southern Chautauqua County’s 12 Months of Caring, a year-long initiative to connect employee groups with community service projects.
Captain John Merchant with The Salvation Army said the donations will meet an often neglected need.
People are encouraged to drop off items into cardboard receptacles, which were donated by Jamestown Container Companies, when visiting any one of the M&T bank locations.
Some of the items that can be donated include:
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Deodorant
- Toilet Paper
- Feminine Products
- Body Soap
- Shampoo
- Hair Brush
- Dish Soap
