JAMESTOWN – Although the forecast is calling for a chance of showers in the early evening with thunderstorms also likely as we head toward 11 p.m., it shouldn’t be enough to stop dozens of classic autos, muscle cars, street rods, motorcycles and more from filling the streets of downtown Jamestown l for Motor Mayhem 2015 – formerly known as Thunder in the Streets and Downtown Cruise-In.
One of downtown Jamestown’s signature events, Motor Mayhem is organized by the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation and will take place along Third Street from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In addition to the classic cars, this year’s event will feature TWO stages with live music: one on Lafayette Street and one at the Winter Garden Plaza with music provided by Two for Flinching, SmackDab, We Speak Canadian, and Blood Money. Outdoor beer areas will be located at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena and Jamestown Wine Cellar – both near the live music.
This year’s food vendors put a focus on “buy local” with event food being provided by some of Jamestown’s most popular downtown restaurants including: Jones Valhalla Restaurant, Harvest Time Cafe, Press Room Restaurant at Shawbucks, Studio D Catering, Brick City Market and Deli, Jamestown Savings Bank Arena, Fresco’s Pizza, and Havana Cuban Cafe.
The event will also feature several vendors and raffles plus Kids Activities provided by Eventz by Scott.
Vehicles participating in Motor Mayhem must check-in at the Jamestown High School parking lot PRIOR to entering the event at 5 p.m. After check-in, vehicles will be directed to the corner of Third and Spring to enter the event for parking.
Motorcycles participating in Motor Mayhem on August 14 are asked to enter the event at 5 p.m. at the corner of Washington and Third.
