JAMESTOWN – About 35 people showed up last night for the League of Women Voters meet the candidates event at the James Prendergast Library. The event featured two debates – one for the 150th State Assembly District which will be comprised entirely of Chautauqua County starting in 2013. That debate featured Republican incumbent Andy Goodell (R-Jamestown) vs. democratic challenger Dr. Rudy Mueller (D-Lakewood). The two candidates for Chautauqua County Judge – current Judge John Ward and challenger William Coughlin – also attended and debated the issues. The debate co-sponsored by the Jamestown chapter of the American Association of University Women. WRFA will present for our listeners the Goodell-Mueller Debate during our Community Matters program this Thursday at 6 p.m.
