Another food recall is in place at Wegmans. The Western New York based supermarket chain – which has a store in Jamestown – is recalling Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organice Juices in two varieties.
The 64-ounce bottles of apple juice with expiration dates of Jan. 28, 2014, through March 19, 2014, and cranberry juice blend with an expiration date of Nov. 5, 2013, have been recalled because the supplier notified Wegmans than the apple juice concentrate ingredient was found to have an unacceptable level of patulin – a by-product of mold.
Only bottes with the specific expiration dates have been recalled. Although the risk of illness is remote, consumers are advised to dispose of the juice and bring the empty container back to the service desk for a full refund.
