JAMESTOWN – The 2012 United Way Campaign has raised $432,900 so far this year, or 33% of the $1,310,000 million goal. Campaign Chair Vince Horrigan said the future of several local programs hinges on the success of this year’s campaign. Horigan said last year, over 31,000 people in this area were helped by the programs that rely on United Way dollars.
Money raised through the annual campaign goes to support 19 partner agencies and 44 programs in southern Chautauqua County. Each of the programs that receive funding must show measurable results in the areas of education, income, or health.
