Three individuals will be vying for two seats on the Jamestown Board of Education when the annual election takes place in two weeks.
According the district clerk, both School Board President Joe DiMaio and current board member Patrick Slagle will be running for re-election. In addition, Jamestown Resident Todd Rushforth is running for one of the two seats.
The school board election will take place on Tuesday, May 21 and is open to all registered residents in the Jamestown School District. In addition to the school board election, residents will also vote on the $75,350,000 school budget and a referendum to lease-to-own several buses and other transportation vehicles, at a cost not to exceed $795,000.
A public hearing on those two items is next Tuesday, May14 at Percel School.
