MORNING NEWS: Tglianetti to Appear in County Court on Wednesday

December 18, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

MAYVILLE – The man accused of killing the superintendent of the Clymer School District will be in Chautauqua County today. That from the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s office, which says that Anthony Robert Taglianetti II is being picked up this morning in Virginia and returned to Chautauqua County answer to his charges. Taglianetti is accused driving to Chautauqua County from his home in Virginia and shooting Keith Reed Jr. in September. If convicted of 2nd degree murder, he could face up to 25 years to life in prison.

Taglianetti is set to have his first appearance in Chautauqua County Court at 10 a.m. Wednesday before Judge John Ward.

Taglianetti was named a suspect in the murder of Reed three days after his body was found just outside his home in Clymer on Clymer-Sherman Road. Within a week authorities captured the 42 year old Virginia man and he has remained in police custody in Virginia ever since.

The county DA’s office says any trial involving Taglianetti would likely take place over the summer.
