JAMESTOWN – A 14 year old was rushed to an Erie Hospital yesterday afternoon after being struck by a car on the city’s north side. Jamestown police say the unidentified male teenager was skateboarding near the intersection of Washington and 13th Streets at about 3:45 p.m. when the incident took place. Officers say 48 year-old James Peterson of Kennedy was driving his pickup truck north on Washington St. when the teenager was crossing the street on his skateboard and rode it into the side of Peterson’s truck. Police say the teen seriously injured his leg in the accident and sent to WCA hospital, where he was then flown to Hamot Medical Center in Erie. No charges were filed against Peterson.
