MAYVILLE – The man accused of killing the superintendent of Clymer Central School is now in Chautauqua County and will appear before county court Judge John Ward this morning.
Officers from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office brought Anthony Robert Taglianetti II to the Chautauqua County jail yesterday, having travelled to Virginia to pick up the 42 year old murder suspect. Taglianetti is facing a charge of second-degree murder charge for allegedly shooting and killing Keith Reed Jr. outside of his home in Clymer the evening of Sept. 21. On Sept. 27, Taglianetti was named as a suspect in the case and was apprehended by police in Virginia less than two days later.
While police have not released a motive, it is believed that Taglianitti’s wife was involved in a relationship with Reed and when Taglianetti learned about it, he drove to Clymer from his home in Virginia to confront Reed. If convicted of 2nd degree murder, Taglianetti faces 25 years to life in prison.
