JAMESTOWN – The Salvation Army of Jamestown is once again calling on area residents to help with its Red Kettle campaign. Major Douglas Hart of the local Salvation Army says right now, the agency is seeing a significant number of volunteers to man the kettles, but more volunteers are needed to ensure all Red Kettle locations have a volunteer manning a kettle.
Major Hart adds that the Red Kettle campaign serves as the annual appeal for the Salvation Army, so the agency relies on the funding to ensure it can provide various services to residents in the Jamestown and Chautauqua Region. Those services include providing shelter, clothing, food and various counseling services.
Any individual, business or organization wishing to volunteer can call the Salvation Army office at 664-4108 and ask for Holly.
