Ricky Skaggs

JAMESTOWN – One of the most critically acclaimed artists in country and bluegrass music will be coming to Jamestown this weekend. The Reg Lenna Civic Center will host an evening with Ricky Skaggs Saturday at 8 p.m. with his long-time bandmates Kentucky Thunder.

Performing since the age of 5, Skaggs has blazed a prolific and rich musical career. Among his honors are Youngest Member of the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Entertainer Of The Year and 12 consecutive Grammy nominations from his own record label. Skaggs’ music, while based in the bluegrass tradition, has transcended genres over the years.  He’s worked with a variety of recording artists, including Phish, Bruce Hornsby and Jack White.

Ticket prices are $25, $35 and $45 and go on sale Tuesday morning. For tickets and more information, visit www.reglenna.com or call 484-7070. The performance is made possible by support from Southern Tier Brewing Company and Dykeman-Young, Inc.
