JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi and city Development Director Vince DeJoy will host a public hearing tonight on the allocation of federal funding for local development in the city. According to the Public Hearing Notice from the Mayor’s office:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing sponsored by the Mayor of the City of Jamestown, New York, will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 7:15 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, Municipal Building, 200 E. Third St., Jamestown, New York. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide citizens with the opportunity to comment on the proposed FY 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Program Action Plan for the City of Jamestown and to assess prior CDBG and HOME program performance and progress.
Copies of the proposed FY 2013 CDBG and HOME Action Plan, including a description of the proposed activities, will be made available at the Public Hearing. Copies will also be made available for a public review period at the following locations: The Department of Development, 200 East Third St., Third Floor, Municipal Building, Jamestown, New York; the City Clerk’s Office, 200 East Third Street, First Floor, Municipal Building, Jamestown, New York, and the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry Street, Jamestown, New York.
The public is invited to submit their comments, in writing, to the Department of Development, 200 East Third Street, Third Floor, Municipal Building, Jamestown, New York, 14701. All comments received will be considered prior to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
