JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Development Director Vince DeJoy has scheduled a public hearing on April 3 at 6:30 p.m. for the initial input session for the 2013 submission for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) & HOME programs through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Both are programs that Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency (JURA) & the Department of Development use for not only funding activities for redevelopment and infrastructure improvements, but to help fund the department for basic functions such as code enforcement.
Any local groups or residents that wish to learn more about the grant opportunities or to offer their thoughts on how the money should be used are encouraged to attend the hearing, which will take place in the city council chambers in city hall.
