MORNING NEWS: Power Outage Affects Parts of Jamestown, Falconer

December 14, 2012 By WRFA Radio 2 Comments

Some residents and businesses in Falconer and the east side of Jamestown were without power for a short period of time late last night. According to the Post-Journal, Jamestown BPU electric customers in the Falconer industrial area lost power around 10:15 p.m. It was eventually restored at around 11:30 p.m. According to the report, an event on the National Grid side of the Dow Street Substation affected equipment at the BPU Dow Street Substation, causing the outage. BPU and National Grid employees resolved the problems in a little over one hour. No other details were released.
