JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are ruling that the death of an unidentified city woman found deceased last week in her home as accidental. On Thursday afternoon, May 9, police responded to a report of a suspicious death at 11 Bush St. The victim was a female in her 50’s and had been reported as a missing person earlier in the day. Police say she had reportedly not been seen in several days before being found inside her home deceased.
Investigators from the Jamestown Police Department were assisted at the scene by the Chautauqua County Forensic Investigation Team (Fit Team) and the Chautauqua County District Attorneys Office. The deceased was transported to WCA Hospital and on Friday, an investigation revealed that no criminal activity was involved in the victim’s passing.
The name of the victim was not released by police.
