October 1, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

The man who is believed to be responsible for the death of the the Superintendent of Clymer Central Schools is now in police custody. On Friday afternoon, Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace and District Attorney David Foley Announced that Anthony Robert (“Rob”) Taglianetti II had been apprehended by authorities in Virginia. Taglianetti was located by the United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force and the Harrisonburg Police Department. They were assisted by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 4:00 pm Friday, Deputy U.S. Marshal John Doss and Harrisonburg Police Officer spotted the suspect’s vehicle traveling near the Shenandoah National Park. They were patrolling areas looking for the suspect. Officers stopped Taglianetti and he was taken into custody without incident.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Investigators and Prince William County Detectives are continuing their investigation in Virginia and the suspect may be extradicted back to Chautauqua County for his initial hearing at some point this week.

The Sheriff and District Attorney praised all of the law enforcement agencies who cooperated in the investigation and apprehension.

Taglianetti was wanted in connection to the homicide of 51-year-old Keith Reed Jr. – who was reported missing on Sept. 23 and who’s body was discovered the following day near his home in Clymer. Investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office say he was shot multiple times during the evening of Friday, Sept. 21.
