JAMESTOWN – Police are still looking for a man connected to a marijuana growing operation located last Thursday on Barrows St.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Dept. say drug investigators found 59 marijuana plants in a grow operation at 146 Barrows Street during a search of the residence at about 10 a.m. on April 23. The search took place through a search warrant following an investigation into the illegal growing of marijuana. In addition to the plants and growing equipment, officers also say they found a .50 caliber muzzle loader rifle inside the home. City police were assisted in the investigation the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Officers also say that 26 year-old Marcus Caceres of Jamestown was allegedly involved with setting up the grow operation, but he was not in the home when the search took place. He is currently being sought by city police for unlawfully growing marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Caceres is asked to contact police at 483-7537 or an anonymous tip can be left at 483-8477.
