MINA – Three people were sent to the hospital – including a one year-old – after an overnight accident on I-86 in the town of Mina.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say 52 year old Dale Legg of Medina, Ohio was driving a tractor trailer and was stopped along the eastbound lane of I-86 around midnight Wednesday because of poor visibility on the roadway. Officers say a pickup truck driven by 39 year-old Mathew McBride of Westfield, Pennsylvania was also traveling east and stuck the back of Legg’s semi.
McBride, along with two of his passengers – 28 year-old Esmereda McBride and a one-year old passenger – were all sent to Hamot Medical Center in Erie for treatment of injuries. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is continuing. The Sherman, Findley Lake and Ashville fire departments responded at the scene.
