Tonight is the debut of the 2012 perofrmance of the Nutcracker by the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet. More than 50 area youth ranging from 6 to 23 years old will appear during the performances set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Civic Center. The students will be joined by members of the community, guest artists and New York City Ballet artists Erica Pereira and Daniel Ulbricht.

The CRYB is a nonprofit organization that provides classical ballet instruction to youth from Chautauqua County and the surrounding areas.

Tickets start at $12 for children and range up to $25 for adult loge seating. The tickets may be purchased through the box office of the Reg Lenna Civic Center at 484-7070. For more information or to order tickets online visit www.cryb.net.

WRFA will also feature an interview with the organizers of the production during this week’s Arts on Fire program (airing 1 p.m. Fridays and 2 p.m. Sundays).
