JAMESTOWN – Officials involved with creating a redevelopment plan for an area of the Chadakoin River in Jamestown have announced a second public meeting will be taking place in early October. Officials with LaBella Associates, P.C. say the second public meeting to address the Chadakoin River Revitalization Study will be held in the auditorium of the Robert H. Jackson Center on Tuesday, October 2 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It will serve to update the community on the progress of the project and provide a continued forum for public discussion about the potential of the riverfront to become a greater community asset.
The Chadakoin River Revitalization Study is a 16-month planning effort focused on opportunities for economic development and community recreation along the Jamestown riverfront. Funding for the study comes from three NY State planning grants.
In addition to LaBella Associates, P.C., the meeting will also be facilitated by the Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency and the City of Jamestown Waterfront Advisory Committee.
