JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown man who was found guilty of robbing two stores in the spring of 2012 has been sentenced to serve several years in prison. The county district attorney’s office says 33 year old Carlos Torres was sentenced to 8 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for two counts of first degree robbery.
On April 10, 2012, Torres was involved in the armed robbery of the Wilson Farms store on E. 2nd St. in Jamestown and also the Wilson Farms store on N. Main St. He had entered the store, showed a weapon and demanded money. He was arrested a short time later by Jamestown police.
