JAMESTOWN – City police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation into a drive-by shooting that took place earlier this week. Jamestown Police were called to an area of Chandler St. at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for a report of gun shots. Upon investigation, officers learned that at least eight shots were fired. Police say no injuries were reported in the incident and the motive behind the shooting is not known.
Police say nearby surveillance cameras show a vehicle that was driving through the area that may be connected to the incident. The vehicle appears to be a dark colored four-door SUV. Anyone with information into the vehicle or who may have been driving it is asked to call city police at 483-7537 or the anonymous tip line at 483-8477.
