JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a complaint involving a man seen talking to kids on their way to school.
The JPD sent out a media release yesterday, saying that the suspicious person is described as an older white male in his 50s with a chubby face, glasses and grayish hair and driving a tan colored Toyota RAV 4. He was also wearing a plaid button shirt and holding a brown chihuahua dog as he spoke to the kids.
The man is reported to have approached the children last Thursday near the intersection of Willard and Anderson streets, a couple blocks away from Bush elementary school. Police say that at this time it appears no crime has been committed, although they are seeking the identification of the man for questioning.
Anyone who may have information on who the subject may be is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department at 483-7531, or an anonymous tip can be left at 483-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
