CHERRY CREEK – A Jamestown woman and her infant son escaped serious injury after being involved in a one-vehicle accident early this morning in the town of Cherry Creek. Sheriff Deputies say 21 year old Samantha Seekings was traveling along Davison Rd. just before 2 a.m. this morning when she failed to negotiate a 90 degree curve. Seeeking’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch and a patch of small trees, causing the vehicle’s airbag to deploy. Both Seekings and her son appeared to be uninjured. Deputies say the infant was secured in a proper child passenger restraint. Both were transported to WCA Hospital as a precautionary measure. Volunteers from the Cherry Creek Fire Department assisted at the scene.
