JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation has announced an expansion of its staff and scope of work. On Friday, the JRC announced that Greg Lindquist will serve as its new Executive Director, beginning Monday, September 30. Lindquist will oversee the JRC’s downtown and riverfront development efforts.
According to a media release from the JRC, the change will signal a new phase for the JRC, as it boosts its capacity to aggressively pursue business development in downtown Jamestown and accelerate the pace of progress in the city’s neighborhoods.
Lindquist has served on the JRC’s Board of Directors since 2010 and was most recently an Assistant Vice President at the New York Business Development Corporation. He has also been the Director of Economic Development at Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc., the Empire Zone Director for the City of Jamestown and Economic Development Coordinator for the Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency. A Jamestown native, he holds a B.S. in business administration from SUNY Fredonia.
Acting JRC Executive Director Peter Lombardi will assume the role of Deputy Director. Lombardi has served as the JRC’s Executive Director for 10 months during a transitional period that included the organization’s absorption of functions previously performed by the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation.
The JRC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to downtown and neighborhood revitalization in the city.
