JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department arrested a Jamestown man and a Buffalo man in connection to the trafficking of crack cocaine into the area.
City police say 22 year-old Alex Oliveres of Jamestown and 22 year-old Tyshon Sims of Buffalo were charged late Saturday afternoon when their vehicle was pulled over on North Main Street. Both men were found with crack cocaine that was packaged to be sold. Oliveres was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and felony evidence tampering after he allegedly tried to hide some of the drugs. He was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon after police found a switchblade knife. Sims was also charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both men were arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
