JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown City Council will be holding its monthly voting session tonight in city hall. In addition to taking up several resolutions involving the company that will provide healthcare for city employees, lawmakers will also act on a resolution authorizing the city to enter into a new contract with the Center for Governmental Research from Rochester.
The contract for $44,000 will be for the agency to continue services related to the completion of a Police Consolidation Plan between the City of Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office – with funding for the project coming from a New York State Department of State Local Efficiency Grant.
