OLEAN – New York State’s Junior U.S. Senator will be in Cattaraugus County today to hold a roundtable discussion on helping local businesses.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) will join officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration in Buffalo to host the conversation, which is aimed at helping local businesses access financing and support for exporting and manufacturing. Gillibrand was recently appointed member of the President’s Export Counsel.
The roundtable forum will take place after Gillibrand tours SolEpoxy, an Olean business that manufactures epoxy insulating coating powders and molding compounds used in LED lighting and optical sensor applications.
In 2012, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Buffalo District Office named Jeffrey A. Belt, president of SolEpoxy, the district and New York State recipient of the SBA’s Exporter of the Year Award. SolEpoxy exports 51 percent of its product around the globe throughout India, Europe and Asia.
